01 · Scope
What I can cover
Pearson Edexcel International A Level and International GCSE
In Chemistry and Mathematics. These share a great deal with the UK specifications I teach full-time and examine for, so the transfer is genuine rather than approximate.
Cambridge International (CAIE)
My specialism is the subject content rather than any single syllabus. The structure and assessment differ from the UK specifications, so do say which syllabus and paper set your school follows when you get in touch and I’ll confirm I can cover it properly.
I work across all the main UK exam boards, with AQA and Edexcel my specialisms in A-Level Chemistry and Edexcel in A-Level Maths. The fit here is less exact, so I’d want to review the specification before taking a student on.
A note on my examiner role: I examine UK A-Level Chemistry. That gives me detailed working knowledge of how UK mark schemes are applied, which carries into the International A Level, but I don’t examine international specifications and won’t imply otherwise.
02 · Timing
Availability
I teach full-time in London, so overseas slots are limited to UK evenings and weekends. In practice that works well for Europe and Africa, reasonably for the Gulf at weekends, and rarely for Asia or the Americas.
If the time difference works, do get in touch. If it doesn’t, I’d rather tell you at the outset.
03 · Payment
Fees
The same rates as for UK students, charged in pounds sterling, paid securely by card. Your bank handles the conversion.
04 · Standards
Safeguarding
The same standards apply wherever a student is based. For under-18s, all scheduling communication goes to a parent or guardian, and a parent is welcome to be present at any session.
