Packages & Pricing
No hidden fees, no registration charges, no agency commission. At school your child is one of thirty, moving at the pace of the room. Here they are the only student in it, working on the specific thing holding their grade down, with a teacher who teaches this specification full-time and marks it.
01 · Fees
All sessions are one-to-one unless booked as a group. The same rate applies whether we work online or in person. There’s no surcharge for face-to-face sessions. In-person availability is limited by area and by slot; see below.

Small groups
If your child has a sibling or a friend at the same level, on the same specification, a small group of two or three often works well.
No two groups are the same, so I price them individually rather than from a list. Tell me who is involved and I will send you a quote.

Intensive Exam Prep

- 10 hours, delivered as 5 2-hour sessions, in the run-up to exams
- Focused entirely on exam technique, past paper work and mark scheme structure
- Two full papers marked with written examiner-style feedback
- A personalised list of the specific errors costing marks, and exactly how to stop making them
- Typically run over the Easter break or late May half term
- Half-Term Block
- Six sessions is roughly where the diagnostic work starts paying off and progress becomes visible. This is where I’d suggest most students begin.
- Term Block
- Term lengths vary between schools, so the session count can be adjusted. Just ask and I’ll price it pro rata.
- Intensive
- Not discounted. Sessions are longer, more demanding, and run at the busiest point of my year. Places are strictly limited and go early, so book well ahead for summer exams.
03 · Format
Online or in person?
Online, available UK-wide
Sessions use a shared digital whiteboard, so every diagram, mechanism and calculation is visible live and saved for you afterwards. For Maths and Chemistry this genuinely works; most of my students choose it, and many prefer it once they’ve tried it. No travel, easier to reschedule, and a permanent record of every session.
In person, limited availability
Across Potters Bar, Cuffley, East Barnet, New Barnet, Cockfosters, Southgate, Whetstone, North Finchley and Finchley Central and nearby addresses in the EN and N postcodes. I teach full-time, so in-person slots are restricted to a small number of evenings and weekend times, and to areas I can reach without a long journey. Sessions are at your home, and a parent or guardian is welcome to be present throughout.
Please note: I don’t travel outside Potters Bar, Cuffley, East Barnet, New Barnet, Cockfosters, Southgate, Whetstone, North Finchley and Finchley Central. If you’re further out, online tuition is available anywhere and is the same rate, no compromise on quality, and considerably easier to schedule. If you’re just outside the area, do ask; I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s workable.
The rate is identical either way. You’re not paying more for one format or getting less from the other. Choose whichever suits your household, and plenty of students mix the two, working in person during term and online over holidays and exam season.
04 · The practical bits
How payment works
- Packages are paid upfront via secure card payment (Stripe). I never see or store your card details.
- Prefer to be invoiced? Just ask. You’ll receive a proper invoice with automatic reminders, payable by card or bank transfer.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay accepted.
- Blocks are valid for six months from purchase.
Cancellation policy
- More than 24 hours’ notice
- Rescheduled free of charge.
- Less than 24 hours’ notice
- The session is charged.
- If I need to cancel
- The session is rescheduled at no cost, always.
I’m reasonable about genuine emergencies and illness. The policy exists so that reserved time is respected in both directions.
Group sessions: groups are booked as a unit. If a student leaves partway through a block, the remaining students continue at the rate for the new group size from the next session onwards.
